Caroline Weber (1974) is a professional artist. She lives and works in Switzerland.

Weber translates three-dimensional space into flattened compositions of pattern and color. Her balanced acrylic and mixed-media works on canvas investigate the interplay between colors and forms in bold strokes. Her works range from Cubist-inflected still lifes to more abstract, gestural works. It is a balance act, maintaining a constant tension between multitudes elements.

Weber builds upon the surface, affixing strips of secondary canvas or paper across the support, elsewhere revealing the raw texture of frayed fabric. She builds richly textured surfaces of compelling depth. Gestural markings and thick brushstrokes intermingle with a combination of layering and distressing. Upon close inspection, figurative shapes and text appear from within the broad swaths of color.

Weber always finds inspiration for her multifaceted works in being a passionate observer of everyday life and everyday things. This is why the artist is always interested in people and their stories and often uses personal situations, which then make their way into various series of her work.

Since pivoting her creative direction from a career in marketing to one of painting, Weber receives national and international exposures and is a prizewinner. She participated in solo and group exhibitions. Her work can be found in a museum, in corporate premises as well as in private collections all over Europe as well as in Switzerland, United Kingdom, in the USA and Australia.

Her work has been published in magazines, newspapers and catalogues. She corporates with international brands like Bombay Sapphire Gin or Visa Cornercard and is a semi-final winner of Artbox Project Barcelona 1.0. In 2021 she got the Certificate of Merit, Luxembourg Art Prize, organized by the Pinacothèque, a private museum located in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Another work can be found in a private museum near Athen in Greece.
